Well it was about time I started posting some of my finished work on the blog for all to see so here it is.........

Krystal Sagona was appointed to assist with the Interior Design and Decoration of a house renovation located in Caufield South for a husband and wife with two young children. The brief was to provide a design that reflected the families design aesthetics whilst accommodating their entertaining needs. It was to reflect a calming environment that they would love to come home to every day.

The design had to survive the wear and tear of every day family living in the main living areas while accommodating a separate adult entertaining space with high end furniture and finishes to enjoy with friends and family. The deign was inspired by the young families energy and enthusiasm for life reflected in the choice of calming bright colours and tones. The placement of furniture allows for the flexibility to accommodate the families every day and formal entertaining needs.

The large expanses of space were applied with a dark tone contrasted with the warmth of dark timber floorboards to make the expanse of space feel warm and inviting. The large windows were softened with sheer white curtains to filter the afternoon light adding a soft glow and warmth to the room. The mixed use of classic forms contrasted by square and round edges, balanced with bright and warm grey undertones with a tribal influence makes the formal living area an exciting place to relax and entertain. Employing sophisticated, timeless furniture and finishes make for a family home that individually reflects the clients style and personalities bringing a little bit of them out into the space.
